1. New as of 2014, two pumpkins will be allowed to enter the weigh-off from the same address and be eligible for prizes. As per GPC regulations, only one pumpkin will count toward GPC awards.

 

2. Event Registration 10:00am to 11:30am.  Growers must enter through the East Gate.  Please note Oktoberfest gates open to the public at 11:00am, for attendee’s safety no pumpkins will be allowed to enter after 12:00.

 

3. Please enter though East Gate (Fig. 2)

 

4.Pumpkins must be Atlantic Giants.

5.Suggested minimum size of pumpkin is 200Lbs.  Measure circumference (Fig. 1) must be at least 95inchs

 

6. The Grower with pumpkin will be allowed to enter Oktoberfest and park the day of the weigh-off for free.  All others over the age of 12 will pay an $8.00 event admission fee.

8.  No foreign substances on any fruit will be allowed into competion. 

Any entry found to have fungicides anywhere on the fruit will be left on the

truck / trailer until cleaned properly.  No exceptions

Additionally: Please also remember to put your pumpkin on a pallet for unloading and transportation at the festival.

 

When you arrive in the off-loading area,  a lift operator will assist

unloading your entries.  As soon as possible, make your way to the

Registration table and speak with an official (wearing orange vest). We will help you with the registration process. You will be given one form and a piece of duct tape for each entry.  The form must be completed by the

measuring team, the duct tape applied to your entry. The measurement team

will inspect and officially measure your entry.  During this process, please

park your vehicle in the designated area.
